Dave is from El Centro, California. A little country town about 100 miles east of San Diego. He lived about 15 south of the city. His family were farmers. They grew everything on their family farm from broccoli and lettuces in the winter, and watermelon, cantaloupe and honeydew in the spring. In 1982, Dave went to work at Bonanza Packing, where they shipped all of these items all over the country. There would be days where Bonanza would ship 25,000 cartons of iceberg lettuce, and 5,000 cartons of cauliflower. During the spring, they would ship around 25,000 cartons of honeydew, and cantaloupe a day for 6 weeks straight.

In 1991, he started a produce company in El Centro, and started selling to grocery stores, and a couple restaurants. Dave did that until 2002 when he moved up to San Diego to raise his son. That is when he got back into selling produce to restaurants but in bigger volumes this time. With all of his experience in the farming industry from growing, packing, and shipping, it has taught him how the product gets to the final destination. Having his own company taught him product quality and customer service. Now that he’s with Moceri Produce, the last 45 years have shaped him into giving the best quality and customer satisfaction to all of his clients.
